Due to the dedicated efforts of YMCA Board members, committed volunteers and generous donors significant funds have been raised through a major Capital Campaign. The necessary financial commitment required to begin construction has been attained for the 58,000 square foot new Mukwonago YMCA facility.
This new facility will serve families, senior citizens, adults and children from a broad geographic region in Southern Waukesha County, Northwest Racine County, Northeast Walworth County and beyond.
The facility includes: adventure pool, lap pool, whirl pool, gymnasium, locker rooms, member engagement room, child watch area, member lounge, community meeting room and a large cardio and strength workout area with 3 group exercise studios and an indoor running/walking track.
Together, the new Mukwonago YMCA and the existing Waukesha YMCA have teamed up to form a dynamic association called the: YMCA of Central Waukesha County. While being unique facilities and different communities, the Y will offer needed programs and dedicated services that stand for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Under the governance structure of the YMCA of Central Waukesha County, operational efficiencies, shared services and staff resources will benefit the newly formed Y. An Association Board of Directors will govern policy and lead financial oversight to ensure stability. Local Boards of Management will ensure that community needs are served, operating units run smoothly and mission is at the forefront of all we do.
With almost 120 years of exemplary service in Waukesha County, the Y is a well respected not for profit organization. We are proud of our past, stand behind our mission and are driven by future growth opportunities.
The Y stands for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
